USF Launched New Web Site on September 14, 2007

USF went live with a new and improved Web presence on Friday, September 14, 2007 at 9 a.m. The Office of University Relations has worked collaboratively with USF offices for more than a year to ensure that the information found on the site is easy to find, correct and up-to-date.

Several new features that utilize dynamic technology have been introduced to keep information accurate and current every day for the entire USF community.

New and improved site features include:

Quick Links: Check the Quick Links section of the home page for a list of current critical links. This space will be updated daily in concert with the A-Z Index. USF Daily Events:A new round up of all university calendars in one, easy to find location. University personnel may add events to ensure timely information for their constituents. USF events appear under the events section of the home page.
Academic Pages: A consistent set of launch pages for each area of USF that offers academic courses and degrees. The pages, which include colleges, schools and departments, include consistent contact information, a mission statement, and degree information for each academic branch of the university. USF staff can request an update to the page by contacting the University Webmaster.
A-Z index: A dynamic list of contact information for websites is now available at your fingertips. The A-Z index offers a website description, as well as multiple contact points. -- all one click away from the USF home page. USF Staff may request updates to their information by emailing the University Webmaster.
Contact Us: A single, easy-to-find page that provides a form for all web inquires. The system will quickly send each question to the correct department, ensuring a quick response to your questions.
Maps & Directions: Provides an overall view of all USF regional campuses, including contact information, directions, and clickable campus maps.
In addition to these great features we've: - improved search engine results. - incorporated Academic Computing's intuitive Campus (E-mail) Directory. - upgraded the Calendar application to easily allow our visitors to search for events, subscribe to calendars, and get an RSS Feed. - revised the Emergency Preparedness page to include a complete round-up of the information you need, including hurricane shelters, university closures, and more. - included technology that allows you to view certain selected areas of the USF web site on your mobile device.
