Is Global Warming a Catalyst for Conflict?

TAMPA, Fla. (Aug. 31, 2009) -- Climate change doesn’t just mean that the world will get hotter, but tensions between people and nations will too as climate change natural disasters bring about food shortages and increase competition for natural resources.

 

The University of South Florida hosted the Pew Project on National Security, Energy and Climate featuring former Sens. John Warner (R-Virginia) and Bob Graham (D-Florida); Vice Admiral Dennis McGinn and USF Professor Thomas Crisman. Watch a webcast of this important discussion here.
