USF WLP Annual Symposium & Global Health Fair
TAMPA, Fla. (August 19, 2009) -- USF Woman in Leadership & Philanthropy will host its annual symposium Friday, Oct. 9 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Tampa Convention Center. Susan Blumenthal, an internationally recognized medical and global health issues expert and leader, will present the keynote speech, titled “The Global Challenges in Public Health.”
To play off this theme, this year’s symposium will include a Global Health Fair. WLP would like to encourage USF programs that target global health and health-related initiatives to create a display for the fair. Your display should answer the question, “How is USF making a difference in our local and global communities?”
If your department would like to participate in the Global Health Fair, or if you have questions about creating your display, email Mary Dooley.
