Email article to a friendPrint Article

TAMPA, Fla. (August 12, 2009) – USF is preparing to welcome more than 7,000 new students to campus during the university’s annual Week of Welcome celebration, which will take place Wednesday, Aug. 19 - Saturday, Aug. 29.

During this 10-day program, students will be invited to participate in more than 100 events hosted by university departments, academic units and student organizations. These activities are designed to engage students and encourage their active participation in the community by exposing them to opportunities for involvement and interaction with their peers, faculty and staff.

You can help welcome our new and returning students by attending WOW events or assisting with the Campus Information Stations, located in various areas on the first two days of classes. Click here to volunteer at a station.

We also encourage you to attend the WOW Kick-off on August 19 from 4 to 6 p.m., and and the "Tune In To Student Life" event on August 27 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.. Both events will take place in the Marshall Student Center plaza.

For more information, view the WOW brochure, or visit our Web site.
