Healthy Water Webcast June 30

Email article to a friendPrint Article

TAMPA, Fla. (June 17, 2009) -- The Florida Center for Public Health Preparedness at USF’s College of Public Health will present a healthy water webcast on June 30. The webcast will air from the Morsani Center for Advanced Healthcare. Live audience participation is encouraged.

The webcast will provide basic technical information about healthy swimming pool water basics, waterborne disease epidemiology, swimming pool inspection priorities, and swimming pool rules and regulations.

National and state environmental health professionals and their community partners in healthcare and education will be tuning into this free webcast to learn how to prevent and control waterborne disease outbreaks. This is especially important this time of year as families and children spend their summer in public swimming pools and water parks.

This program is developed in collaboration with USF’s Florida Center for Public Health Preparedness, the Florida Department of Health’s Division of Environmental Health, and the University of Michigan’s Office of Public Health Practice. For more information, click here.
