Marfo Awarded Stanford Fellowship
TAMPA, Fla. (June 15, 2009) Kofi Marfo, educational psychology professor in USF’s College of Education, has been awarded a residential fellowship for the 2009-2010 academic year at the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences (CASBS) at Stanford University.
CASBS is dedicated to advancing knowledge about human behavior and fostering contributions to society through a variety of programs including its residential fellowships. It selects the most accomplished and promising scholars in fields represented by the center to participate. Founded in 1954, the center maintains a steadfast commitment to advancing knowledge in the social and behavioral sciences.
“This has been a career-long dream,” says Marfo. “It is certainly an honor that is as exciting and uplifting as it is humbling, as I anticipate my writing in the context of formal and informal interactions with other scholars who share the value of collective engagement.”
