Staff Personal Holiday-Use It Or Lose It By June 30
TAMPA, Fla. (May 29, 2009) -- All staff employees are entitled to one personal holiday each fiscal year. The personal holiday must be taken by the employee on or before the close of business on June 30 or it is forfeited.
Personal holiday leave should be requested via GEMS Self Service and approved by 2 p.m. on June 25, 2009. Personal holiday leave may only be requested for a full eight hours.
Note: All timesheets must reflect the appropriate amount of leave for the personal holiday for the individual employee. Example: The personal holiday for a part-time employee with a 0.50 FTE will be 4 hours. For a full time employee, the personal holiday will be whatever they are normally scheduled to work.
You can access GEMS Self Service via the eUSF Portal or by following the instructions here. The personal holiday for the new fiscal year will be updated in ALT in July for all eligible staff employees. For more information, contact your Departmental Leave Coordinator, or Beverly Jerry, University Attendance & Leave Administrator, at (813) 974-5717.
