TAMPA, Fla. (April 2, 2009) – In conjunction with National Alcohol Screening Day, the Employee Assistance Program is offering a free seminar titled, "Understanding Drinking Behavior of College Students: Do You Know What Your Students are Doing?" Tuesday, April 7 from noon to 1 p.m. in the Counseling Center conference room in SVC2126.

The seminar, presented by Stacey Henson, LCSW, and Angelica Brozyna, MS, will provide an overview of the nuances of drinking behaviors with particular highlights of today's college students. Some topics that will be included are: terminology, consequences of drinking, why people drink, physical and emotional complications and what is "responsible drinking". Resources will also be provided.

A brief alcohol screening will be available by request following the seminar (12:45-1:45) for those interested. Each person screened will be seen individually by an EAP clinician to review results privately.

All EAP seminars are free for all USF employees. To register, call 974-5469.
